Our advanced degrees prepare students for careers in a variety of academic and public settings. Doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) in either Folklore or Ethnomusicology allow a depth of focus on particular research topics. We also offer Ph.D. minors for students in other fields.

Public practice concentration
We offer a graduate concentration in public practice that emphasizes research, critical orientations, and practical skills in the areas of public education, preservation, and presentation.
